QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION:
AMOXIL Capsules 250 mg: Each capsule contains 250 mg Amoxycillin as Amoxycillin Trihydrate U.S.P. AMOXIL Capsules 500 mg: Each capsule contains 500 mg Amoxycillin as Amoxycillin Trihydrate U.S.P
INDICATIONS:
Also Lower respiratory tract infections e.g. acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD), acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis (AECB), lobar and bronchopneu Other infections including borreliosis (Borrelia burgdorferi) (Lyme disease), Skin and soft tissue infections, Biliary tract infections, Bone infections, Pelvic infections, Gonorrhoea (non-penicillinase producing strains), Septicaemia, Endocarditis, Meningitis, Peritonitis, Dental abscess (as an adjunct to surgical management), Helicobacter pylori eradication in peptic (duodenal and gastric) ulcer disease.
Prophylaxis of endocarditis: Amoxycillin may be used for the prevention of bacteremia associated with with the
development of endocarditis.
* Adults and children over 40 kg:
Standard grown-up dose: 250 mg multiple times day to day, expanding to 500 mg multiple times everyday for additional extreme contaminations.
